Buying a Home VS Buying a House

Lots of times when people buy House’s they are looking for a “Deal” everyone has heard of the $ that was made by investors, and everyone has read some book about investing in Real Estate. Generations of home buyers previous to now were not looking for “Instant Equity” or making a deal. They were chasing the American Dream. Home Ownership is something that, as Americans, is the goal of having a place that we can call our own. If we want to paint the walls black or build a movie room we are able to do that. However the past decade has lost people’s interest in Buying homes. They are not looking for the palce to raise the Family and build lasting memories. Picture Albums filled with the tiny tree that grew into the Mighty Oak have gone by the wayside and people are only looking for the place they are living for the next 3-5 years. That is not a Home, that is buying the House. When people are not emotionally attached to their Home then it is just a House. When they lose jobs or income and the Repo man comes knocking they have no problem letting the house go because it is there House and not their Home. Our next generation of Buyers needs to realize that Buying a Home can mean the ability to have financial Freedom by paying the house off. There is no longer a goal to be out of debt or saving for the future. It is simply a numbers game. If one makes $4000 per month then they should spend $4000 per month. But if Buyers remember what our previous generations were tought they could actually retire some day. The largest payment most people have is housing and we really do have the option to not have that expense! Pay the house off and live life! Working for your future should mean having a lofty goal in the end. Watching the Grand Kids play in the yard that was once a bare parcel of dirt. Looking at the tiny projects that were completed over the years and feeling a great sense of accomplishment. These things are important as they ever have been but we just need to see that! So my word of advice to future buyers. Please dont shop for a House, Let the Kinslow Team find you your dream home!
